Looks Brush Font Review

It was a quiet Tuesday morning, and I was staring at a blank brand board for a new boutique skincare line. The client wanted something fresh, modern, and a little bit edgy—something that felt personal but still professional. I opened my font library, scrolled through the usual suspects, and then I found it: Looks Brush. A hand-brush display font with a natural, organic feel that immediately caught my eye.

Looks Brush for Brand Identity and Logo Design

Looks Brush is a modern hand-brush display font that brings a sense of movement and energy to any project. Its uneven strokes and subtle variations give it a handmade quality that feels authentic, not forced. When I tested it on a logo concept for the skincare brand, it added a touch of warmth and creativity that other more rigid fonts couldn’t match.

The font’s personality is bold yet approachable. It works well for brands that want to convey a sense of craftsmanship or artistic flair. I paired it with a clean sans serif for the tagline, and the contrast created a nice balance between the two typefaces. It wasn’t too flashy, but it had enough character to stand out in a crowded market.

Looks Brush for Packaging and Product Labels

Next, I moved to packaging design. The skincare brand needed a product label that would look good on both digital and print materials. I applied Looks Brush to the product name and a short description. The font held up well at different sizes, and its brush-like strokes gave the label a tactile, artisanal feel.

I also tried it on a mockup of a glass jar with a sticker. The font looked great against the smooth surface, and the slight irregularities in the strokes made it feel like it was painted by hand rather than generated by a computer. It was perfect for a brand that wanted to emphasize its handmade or small-batch production process.

Looks Brush for Social Media and Web Headers

For the social media assets, I used Looks Brush as the headline font for an Instagram post promoting the skincare line. It worked surprisingly well on a platform where visual impact is everything. The font’s dynamic shape made the text pop against the background, and it felt more engaging than a standard sans serif.

On the website header, I used it for the main title of the homepage. It added a sense of personality without being overwhelming. I paired it with a simple serif font for the subtext, which helped maintain readability while keeping the overall design cohesive.

Looks Brush for Business Cards and Print Materials

I printed a business card mockup using Looks Brush for the company name and contact information. At first, I was worried about legibility, but it turned out to be just fine. The font is designed with enough contrast and spacing to remain readable even at smaller sizes.

It also looked great when paired with a minimalist layout. The font didn’t compete with the rest of the design; instead, it complemented it. For a brand that wants to feel both creative and professional, this is a solid choice.

Looks Brush for Editorial and Magazine Layouts

Finally, I experimented with using Looks Brush in an editorial layout. I used it for a headline in a magazine spread about wellness and self-care. The font’s organic feel matched the theme perfectly, and it added a sense of fluidity that a more rigid font wouldn’t have provided.

It also worked well as a decorative element in a pull quote. The brush strokes gave it a handcrafted look that felt more personal than a standard block lettering. It wasn’t ideal for long paragraphs, but as a headline or accent, it was spot on.
